Terms & Conditions

For the entries：

  • All entries, regardless of being selected or not, will be retained by La Kaffa International Co., Ltd. and will not be returned.
  • While entrants can participate in the competition as individuals or as a team, multiple submissions of different entries by an individual entrant or a team entrant are acceptable.
  • The entries must be original and created by the entrants themselves.
  • All the drawings, texts, icons, sheets, pictures, and other contents of the entries shall not be involved in any plagiarism or infringement of copyrights or any other rights.

For the entrants：

  • All entrants have to accept the rules and regulations of this competition as announced on the official competition website. Eligibility and awards will be canceled if any violation thereof is found.
  • The panel of judges’ decisions shall be final. The entrants have to respect the evaluation and decisions made by the panel of judges.
  • The entrants represent and warrant that their participating entries have never been published in the market, awarded or under evaluation process in any competition. Should there be any doubt, the entrants shall clearly indicate the facts in a written statement and inform La Kaffa International Co., Ltd. for consideration.
  • The entrants agree and acknowledge that they have no rights to claim or challenge the ownership, validity, enforceability, and scope of and any other rights in or to the official Chatime logo.
  • By submitting entries to the official competition website, the entrants irrevocably agree to grant La Kaffa International Co., Ltd. a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to reproduce, broadcast, transmit, display, adapt, compile, distribute, sublicense and otherwise use the entries, in whole or in part, in different formats, including, but not limited to, video/CD recordings, catalogs, photos, publications and exhibitions.
  • Lobbies, threats, briberies or any other actions which may interfere with the evaluation or decisions of judges are prohibited.
  • The entrants have to provide detailed information of the entries upon request for future media coverage and exhibitions.

For the winners：

  • The winners have to cooperate with La Kaffa International Co., Ltd. in promotion and education activities for 3 years after the announcement of awards.
  • All monetary prizes will be taxed according to the laws and regulations of the Taiwan government. (The winners from abroad will be taxed at the rate of 20%.)

In any of the following events, La Kaffa International Co., Ltd. shall have the rights to disqualify the entrants and revoke the prizes and certificates:

  • The entrant does not meet the participation qualification.
  • The entrant provides false or fraudulent information on registration or submission.
  • The entrant is not the original creator of the entry submitted.
  • The entry is involved in plagiarism or infringement of copyrights or any other rights.
  • The entry has ever been published in the market, awarded or under evaluation process in any competition.
  • The entrant claims or challenges the ownership, validity, enforceability or scope of or any other rights in or to the official Chatime logo.
  • The commercialization and marketing activities of the awarded design contravene the spirit of this competition[Legal1].
  • The entrant is involved in lobbies, threats, briberies or any other actions which may interfere with the evaluation or decisions of judges.

*La Kaffa International Co., Ltd. reserves all the rights to make alterations or modifications to the Terms & Conditions, which will be announced on the official competition website. Should there be any controversial issue not amicably resolved, the entrants agree that the unresolved issue shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of China without regard to the conflict of laws principles and shall be submitted to the Taiwan Hsinchu District Court as the exclusive jurisdiction.
